What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Participate in the collection, development and analysis of insurance underwriting information

  • Interface with various internal departments (Finance, Safety, Legal, Human Resources and Business Units) as well as our insurance brokers, carriers, TPA’s and actuaries

  • Coordinate the day-to-day administration of corporate and related insurance programs; assist in managing the Global Property Loss Control program

  • Work with the team to prepare the annual insurance budget, including forecasting premiums, making allocations and responding to business unit inquiries

  • Assist the Senior Manager, Risk Management, in working with various internal departments and business units to complete the company's insurance applications, including Excess Liability and all Executive Coverage applications

  • Support the Risk Management team in the renewal of all insurance programs, including interfacing with brokers and underwriters and verifying and administering insurance policies

  • Assist with the development and communication of risk management policies, procedures and resources; support team in managing premium and department budgets

  • Verify and track all insurance premiums, fees and other invoices; respond to any notice of cancellations as appropriate

  • Support team in oversight of Surety Bond Program, Insurance Certificates and Actuarial Review process; assist in the administration of claims payment authorization and reconciliation of invoices

  • Provide captive support for all aspects of captive management 

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2 years of risk management or insurance industry experience or other relevant finance experience

It’d be great if you also have:


  • Insurance industry professional license

  • Detail-oriented work style; strong analytical and communication skills
