The Assoc Analyst, Credit is responsible for interpreting credit reports, making recommendations on customer credit worthiness, and establishing credit limits based on predetermined standards. This position is also responsible for timely collection of credit accounts for the local unit while maintaining good customer relationships.
Responsible for all credit clearing processes including spot, digital, non-spot and political advertising while providing support to the call center with credit issues when clearing orders
Reviews credit reports and makes decisions related to credit extensions, limits and credit holds for existing agency/advertisers while balancing the revenue/inventory risk
Places advertising orders on credit hold due to late pay or no commit to pay
Processes payments for cash in advance and for past due balances
Places accounts receivable calls and/or works with the appropriate Account Executive/Manager for firm action commitment before clearing orders for airing
Participates in the quarterly review & update of Do-Not-Call (DNC) accounts by station
Performs monthly review of credit balances/short pays by station
Provides support on Credit/Collection calls with call center as needed
Education & Experience/Certifications
Requires BBA or 1 year related work experience.
Credit control and collection experience a plus.
Skills & Abilities
Strong computer and analytical skills.
Knowledge of credit processing and collection procedures is needed.
Must be well versed in Microsoft Office applications.
Be agile during times of change and always maintain a professional demeanor.
Consequence of error is serious and will occasionally be cross-checked for errors.
Communication will be both oral and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Manage an efficient communication process with sales department.
