Process Safety Engineer 

Corpus Christi, Texas 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:  

  • Leading PHA studies or equivalent risk assessment activities

  • Using analytical tools such as dispersion modeling, quantitative risk analysis, etc.

  • Ownership of certain Process Safety element programs

  • Development and delivery of program related training

  • Support of activities within the Process Safety workgroup

  • Participating with cross site groups on continuous improvement strategies 

What You Will Need: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of engineering experience (Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science) working in or directly supporting a Process Safety Management (PSM)-covered Facility or 10+ years of operations experience at a PSM-covered Facility with a High School Diploma 

  • Experience in Process Safety activities such as Management of Change, Pre-Startup Safety Review, or Process Hazard Analysis

  • Skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Valid Driver’s License  


What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering

  • Certified PHA Facilitator

  • Experience using OSHA and EPA regulations specific to hazardous chemicals and industry accepted engineering codes and standards such as Facility Siting

  • Experience working in a management program including implementing standards/procedures/training
