Job Summary:
The person hired for the position of Sales Specialist will be calling on Aerospace customers (OEMs and Tiers) to drive and exceed the individual annual growth targets for AASD.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Identify new business opportunities
Generate and execute sales plans with existing customers to meet defined territory profit increase goals
Define and cultivate leads and relationships with new prospective customers
Work closely with current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and prospective customers, including engineers, manufacturing professionals and sourcing/procurement personal
Works with technical staff to provide customers with application solutions and problem resolution
Lead competitive conversions
Execute on new product launches/intros
Support/Lead qualifications
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years of combined experience in Key Account, Technical Service, and/or OEM Account Representative in a private, public, government or military environment
Current and valid drivers license is required, as you will be issued a company fleet vehicle for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree in Engineering or a Technical field preferred
Aerospace Industry Experience is preferred
Technical Sales Experience in the aerospace market or in technical, designed-in markets
Proven ability to position value/benefits with Key Accounts decision makers, ability to initiate and develop successful selling strategies, ability to fully negotiate contracts and close profitable business
Demonstrable sales success in meeting or exceeding quotas
Solid understanding of end-user customer specification process
Good understanding of the industrial channel
Ability to lead without direct authority
Customer first, client-centric in style
Demonstrate initiative, innovation , continual learning and personal development
Location: Position will support customers in the US Pacific Northwest – Location is Seattle, WA.
Travel: May include up to 50% domestic, with majority of travel in the Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska areas.
Relocation: Relocation is authorized within country per 3M policies
