Position Overview: The Human Resources intern will provide a high level of support to the Human Resources Team, primarily the Business Partners (HRBP) and Learning & Development (L&D) team. The intern will assist with various projects in most areas of human resource management, including recruitment, onboarding, learning & development initiatives and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Provide general administrative support (filing, copying, sorting, etc.) and ordering of supplies.
Assist with coordinating and creating new hire orientation folders and welcome kits as needed.
Support the Learning & Development team with the learning management tool and other administrative responsibilities.
Coordinate and help create HR communication.
Support college relations initiatives which may include registering for career fairs, scheduling networking events and coordinating intern programs.
Help coordinate and support Compeer training programs through coordinating materials, communications, registration management, coordinating lunches and rooms, etc.
Work with office ambassadors to schedule/coordinate trainings at offices.
When needed, works with the HRBP's to schedule interviews. Communicate interview details to candidates, HRBP's and hiring managers to ensure they have all of the necessary information.
May review resumes and recommend candidates for review.
May assist HR team to support social media presence, focuses on the Compeer employment brand in the marketplace.
Completes special projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
Positive attitude, a desire for ongoing knowledge/learning, curious mind, and an excitement for growing our business.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work effectively independently, as well as part of a team.
The ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
