Flint Hills Resources is seeking qualified Pipeline Operators in the Corpus Christi, TX area.  A successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, have good critical thinking skills, will possess good computer skills and verbal and written communication.



 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


 


  • Responsible for locating and marking underground pipelines

  • Comply with applicable state one-call laws and one-call ticket responsibilities

  • Communicate with excavators, providing excavation oversight, and Right-of Way management

  • Operation and maintenance of pipeline and station assets

  • Facility station checks

  • Equipment maintenance, troubleshooting & repair

  • Responding to customer needs

  • Ensure quality assurance, gather/process samples, gauge tanks, meter prove, sample witness, and monitor inbound/outbound pipeline shipments


 

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:


  • Valid driver’s license

  • One year of experience in Pipeline, Petroleum, or Chemical industry

  • Mechanical maintenance experience

  • Ability to respond to calls 24/7 for emergency response

  • Ability to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Position requires the ability to respond to assigned assets within 30 minutes

Other Considerations:


  • Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions equipment

  • Occasionally works in hot, cold, or inclement climate conditions

  • Occasionally climbs ladders and stairs to reach equipment

  • Position requires the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
     

What Will Put You Ahead?



Preferred Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Two-year technical degree 

  • One plus years Liquid or Gas Pipeline experience

  • Six months of line locating/damage prevention experience
