Technica is looking for a Software Developer with work location at Fairchild AFB in Spokane, WA. The candidate will support a team providing critical infrastructure, information technology and communications support to a critical DoD Office for NIPR, SIPR and JWICS networks and critical application support for a 300+ user base.

The Software Developer works as part of a team of IT professionals including systems administrators, network engineers, help desk, IA engineers, and A/V technicians. The Software Developer s primary responsibility is to support the development of applications that support the educational and training mission objectives of this critical DoD Agency. This includes the administration and maintenance of SharePoint sites and applications which support the agency. The Developer will provide support for development work, as well as day to day support of the existing SharePoint environments and various applications including internal business applications and workflows. He/She will administer SharePoint environments including monitoring sites, site creation, administering user permissions, server logs, central administration tasks, and monitoring backups and archiving. He/She will serve as a technical expert for IT Staff and departmental users for SharePoint.

The developer will also create and maintain new tools compatible with Agency baseline capabilities; define,and develop code for new features, and forms; database-driven applications to support dynamic content and integration to back end systems; and interface to internal and external web content. Implement rapid application development, working closely with project sponsors to retract production content, develop changes, and new features. Coordinate closely with IT support staff to ensure foundational processing requirements are adequate and sustained to prevent interruption of network and system services.
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) :

Functional Responsibilities:

* Expert knowledge of SharePoint Architecture (i.e., farm topology; site collections; etc.)

* Familiar with SharePoint Taxonomy, Metadata, Content Management, Collaboration, Custom Web Parts, Reports, Search, InfoPath Services, Master Pages, Content Types, Features, Active Directory

* Manage daily SharePoint tasks and functions

* Follow SharePoint Best Practices in content management and taxonomy

* Perform SharePoint Development

* Works with various departments to develop sites according to approved user requests

* Develop document libraries, sites, and custom lists

* Develop, design and manage content, customizations, webparts, forms, and custom workflows in SharePoint 2010 and 2013

* Develop SharePoint web applications using InfoPath, SharePoint Designer, and other tools

* Designs and develops custom SharePoint workflows

* Utilize SharePoint and Microsoft development tools that are integrated with SharePoint 2010 and 2013

* Responsible for development and ongoing maintenance/enhancements of web application systems.

* Performs software development activities supporting the educational and training applications, internal and external websites, and system and network reporting and monitoring.

* Coordinates with a small team of systems administrators, network engineers, help desk and A/V technicians.

* Minimum of an Active DoD Secret clearance

* Required Certifications: Security+ and one or more of the following certifications:

o MCTS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Configuration

o MCTS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Application Development

o MCTS: Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance

o MCTS: Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Implementation and Maintenance

o MCITP: SharePoint Administrator 2010

o MCSD: Web Applications

o MCSD: SharePoint Applications

o MCSA: SQL Server

* 8+ years of relevant information technology experience in the Department of Defense in software development, and/or web and application support

* Bachelor s degree in technology related field or 10+ years of relevant information technology experience in the Department of Defense in software development, web and application support

* Knowledge of C++, Visual Studio 2010/2013 and SharePoint Designer 2010/2013

* Microsoft development experience (Visual Studio, VB, .NET framework, C#, and Access)

* Knowledge and experience with ColdFusion

* Experience developing website pages/applications, including non-SharePoint technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, etc.)

* Microsoft SQL Server database experience
