To direct the region in maximizing profits through the accomplishment of company and regional goals. To ensure optimum profits from operations and sales. Plan, organize, develop, and control activities to accomplish integrated company and region objectives and to optimize utilization of resources.
Direct, motivate, and provide guidance and support to District Managers to ensure maximization of region profit plan.
Direct achievement of operational, personnel, and district level sales and profit objectives.
Manage region department heads, including personnel development and performance.
Monitor operational performance of each unit in region.
Review operational measurements periodically.
Visit units individually.
Tour units with both the District Managers as well as Taco Cabana employees.
Manage P&L in order for District Managers to achieve sales and cost control targets established by company.
Review in detail the marketing program.
Review past performances of marketing tactics.
Solicit input from COO, Taco Cabana personnel & District Managers.
Review, update, and maintain corporate generated reports (including, but not limited to, sales, labor, employee turnover, P&L statements).
Maintain satisfactory communications between Fiesta and Taco Cabana.
Ensure the standards, which Taco Cabana has set, are being met.
Assist Taco Cabana in carrying out their initiatives.
Forecast and allocate resources throughout the region.
Set budget parameters fairly amongst districts and units in the region.
Assess field personnel at all levels and identify those with the potential to be successful in multi-unit management.
Help District Managers develop Assistant District Managers into District Managers (ability to provide the Company with new District Managers).
Perform on- and off-site follow-up and communication with the District Manager.
Participate in establishing company policies and in the development of company incentive plans.
Review existing company policies, present new ones, and assist in evaluating those suggested by peers.
When necessary, review policy recommendations with the COO, VP Operations, and Director of Human Resources.
Establish annual profit plan budgets under the COO’s direction for Region, District Managers, and units.
Coordinate acquisitions and new unit openings as they occur in the region.
Assist construction with coordination of unit remodels and new store construction.
Other duties as assigned.
KEY INTERFACES On a frequent basis will interface with Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Counsel, Restaurant Operation (all levels) and all Department Heads.
BUDGET ACCOUNTABILITY: Responsible for operating within the Department’s established budget.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports directly to the Vice President - Operations

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
Significant number of years of restaurant management experience required.
Experience, training and education in business, marketing, finance and HR required.
Extensive knowledge of restaurant industry required.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow up on details.
Good computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
