Our Tetra Tech team in the Pasadena Headquarters' office is currently seeking a highly-motivated and detail-oriented Civil/Environmental Water Resources Engineering Student to support a diversity of projects for a variety of public and private sector clients. Primary responsibility will be to support engineers on projects relating to water resources including: water quality assessment, watershed modeling, data analyses, and supporting the planning, analysis and design of stormwater/green infrastructure. Tasks include providing GIS and CAD support to senior engineers for design projects, research and field investigations, engineering calculations, and preliminary write-up of project reports.

This position may support a broad range of water resources projects throughout Tetra Tech and requires a professional demeanor with the demonstrated ability to work well with clients and Tetra Tech team members. We are a passionate team of dedicated stormwater professionals, and we are excited to mentor a qualified candidate in this role with the long-term potential for full-time employment following graduation.

This is a part-time internship opportunity with the potential for full-time hours over the upcoming summer.

  • Support ongoing Integrated Water Resources projects

  • Participate as a team member in the development of planning, design, and compliance documents

  • Support field and documentation work in green infrastructure, master planning, and/or other water resources related projects

You'll Bring These Qualifications


  • Currently conducting a Bachelor's (rising Junior or Senior) or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related field

  • No professional experience required. Previous college research experience is desired.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in Stormwater Management, Green Infrastructure, GIS, Web-development, Watershed Studies is highly desired.

  • Must be highly motivated, a critical thinker and problem solver, detail-oriented, and a team player with strong focus on quality.

  • The candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as computer literacy with at least Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and(or) ArcGIS is desired.
