Scheduler/Planner

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


Responsibilities:



  • Review, approve, prioritize, schedule and close corrective work orders




  • Modify existing or develop new PM task, when necessary




  • Review work order backlog and work with area mechanical and production owners to load schedules for down days and annual outages




  • Attend weekly backlog/schedule meetings for assigned area(s) of responsibility




  • Walk down field job(s) to determine parts, materials, rental equipment and/or contractor support necessary for job to be performed




  • Coordinate parts/material needs with contractors and buyers



  • Coordinate contractor services


  • Develop/update Bill of Materials (BOM) for equipment, as needed




  • Submit requisitions for needed parts, rental equipment or contractor services




  • Submit Major Expense Project (MEP) form, as needed, for parts or contractor services




  • Strategically plan job with detail (hours, parts, tools, steps, etc. to complete job).



  • Verify kitted parts a correct:  type, size, quantity, etc.


  • Ensure contractors are notified of Brainshark (safety training) requirements prior to arrival on site




  • Ensure contractors are scheduled on Contractor Calendar, prior to arrival on site




  • Follow up with contractors to ensure they received a Purchase Order, prior to their expected arrival on site




  • Review work orders for parts used, prior to closing work orders




  • Lead and/or participate in improvement opportunities/projects




  • Be self-motivated, self-starter, detail-oriented and able to multi-task




  • Provide Safety Orientation to contractors, in the absence of the facility POC




  • Partner with production, electrical and maintenance personnel to help increase Operating Equipment Efficiency (OEE)




  • Utilize MBM® Framework and Guiding Principles in daily work activities



  • Utilize Planning Flowchart

What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:


  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent


  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a heavy industrial maintenance department or manufacturing facility




  • Must have knowledge of sprockets, sheaves, bushings, chains, belts, bearings, cylinders, pumps, gearboxes, etc.




  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word)




  • Must have excellent problem solving, communication, and decision-making skills




  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment




  • Must be able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment




  • Must be able to wear necessary basic industrial Personal Protective Equipment




  • Must be able to wear an air-purifying respirator



  • Must be able to wear fall protection equipment

  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs


  • Must be able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations




  • Must be able to work in a tobacco-free environment




  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen is required



What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prior experience in a maintenance planning and scheduling position preferred



Prior experience with MP2 or other computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) preferred
