Job Description:



12 month contract


The DQA Engineer is responsible to provide direction and control in Design Controls & Risk Management for cross-functional teams responsible for new product introduction; including quality assurance duties in:

* Quality Planning

* Design Controls

* Risk Management

* Process Management

* Change Control

* Requirements Management

* Traceability Management


* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/ GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality)

* Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in QA Engineering

* Experience with AS9100 industry standard

* Experience with FAI or AS9102 industry standard

* Internal or external auditor experience


* Ensure regulatory, procedural, and contractual requirements are fulfilled during product development/introduction phases

* Establish and execute project quality plan, witness-points, quality records for compliance

* Ensure Lessons Learned are taken into account for new proposals/programs

* Work for continuous improvement in processes and execution

* Develop solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting

* Works effectively with business leadership at senior and executive levels

* Works effectively with peers; DQA and cross-functionally

* Clearly identifies needs, presents analysis of research, and communicates potential resolutions

* Effectively communicates with customer regarding program quality aspects and concerns as applicable

* Delivers quality products as part of a team

* Works on cross functional teams

* Leads working teams in analytical design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

* Potential travel expectations: 40-50%

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Strong interpersonal leadership skills

* Ability to influence others and lead small teams

* Proven analytical and organizational ability

* Experience leading initiatives of moderate scope and impact

* Effective problem identification and solution skills

* Effective team building skills

* Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, and/or AS9145 industry standard preferred

* Experience with DO-178, DO-254, and/or DO-297 industry standards preferred
