As the Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist, you will be responsible for generating customized freight invoices for our clients. This role is critical in positioning XPO for long-term success. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Review and interpret contractual requirements for individual customer invoicing needs

  • Create invoices based on contractual requirements, e.g., EDI, manual, consolidated, etc.

  • Research balance due, AR debits and credits in the Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Oracle for original amount verification

  • Respond to field requests for invoice corrections, reprints or to meet documentation requirements

  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly customer deadlines are met based on the individual requirements for each account

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year of professional experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills

It’d be great if you also have:


  • Some college Accounting coursework

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Knowledge of Oracle AP and AR applications or other accounting-related software

  • Understanding and knowledge of transportation industry terminology, specifically as it relates to invoicing and rating structures

  • Demonstrated analytical skills
