Job Description Consumer Electronics Financial Analyst - Headphones and Open Ear Audio
Job Description: As a member of the Finance Navigation team, you will provide dedicated support to one or more of our Consumer Electronics category teams (e.g. Headphones, Open Ear Audio, Out Loud Audio) to provide financial and business insight to our operating partners to enable sound business decisions. We are looking for a highly-motivated individual interested in applying their skills in a fast paced, dynamic learning environment. Core areas of responsibility include creation of standard and ad hoc business plans, as well as pricing and other lifecycle management analytics. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated expertise in synthesizing disparate data sets to identify data-driven insights and inform business decisions.
New product financial analysis:
Positively influence the financial viability of new product concepts and customer experiences through collaboration with operational partners and use of both standard business planning tools as well as ad-hoc analysis;
Assess and recommend volume forecasts and retail prices for new products based on market dynamics;
Product portfolio financial analysis:
Partner with regional sales channels to perform promotional analytics and gross margin analysis across the category product portfolio;
Assess and recommend changes to current and long-range sales forecasts as part of the Supply & Operations Planning (S&OP), and quarterly 3 Year Plan processes;
Financial Reporting and Analytics
Develop, standardize, and automate recurring financial reporting requirements;
Derive financial insights from standard reporting and communicate through effective visual management and presentation skills;
Create, improve and adapt analytical tools and create ad hoc analyses as needed, integrating data science techniques where applicable.

Ability to quickly extract, organize, and analyze business data from a variety of sources and identify outliers.
Passion for using data and insights to improve customer experiences and business outcomes, driving process efficiencies.
Creatively translate business problems into a subset of data science problems that leverage appropriate methodology (e.g., classification, regression, probability estimation, etc.), evaluate the results rigorously, and transform the results into insights and recommendations that are clearly communicated to the business
Precise and complete delivery of information and insights;
Ability to foster collaboration across key functional groups.
Ability to research and analyze data across numerous software and visualization platforms (SAP, PowerBI, Tableau, ect.)
Possess advanced MS Excel skills
Proficiency in data science software development using languages and frameworks (Python, R, MATLAB, Tensorflow) and cloud machine learning engines
Natural Curiosity, including a willingness to learn/understand technical aspects of Bose hardware and software features.
BS degree in Finance or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years related work experience.
