Ferguson is hiring for a contract resource role that will report into our Director of International Logistics in our Supply Chain Dept.

Highlights:

Targeted Start Date:  12/9/19

Location:  Must work on site at Ferguson Enterprises Headquarters offices in Newport News, VA for 2 weeks of hands-on training with incumbent job holder for the period 12/9/19 - 12/20/19.  Can work remotely after initial training period. Ferguson to cover travel and expenses while training.

Expected Duration of Assignment:  6 Months

Weekly Hours Expected:  After initial hands on training and learning curve, will typically require 20 hours per week. 

Salary: Competitive salary, this person will be paid through a third party vendor partner.

Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and manage all data sources providing trade compliant purchase order information to an "Infor Nexus" (formerly GT Nexus) Supply Chain Visibility System operated by Ferguson's freight forwarder, DB Schenker

  • Runs reports in MS Access to ensures accurate compliance data files are sent timely, complete to Ferguson's customs broker

  • Run reports in MS Access Database application to create files with complete Purchase Order information to be uploaded into Infor Nexus, compiling data from multiple sources

  • Runs reports in MS Access Database application to identify new products requiring pre-classification and distributes to trade compliance team

  • Reviews reports and data to identify data quality issues and takes lead to resolve

  • Works with Ferguson Buying, Sourcing, and Category Management teams to research and resolve missing data on a Purchase Order, follows through to resolution

  • Maintains multiple MS Access Database tables that support complete Purchase Order information, running or requesting reports from other systems to source data, requesting information from Trade Compliance, Buyer, Category Manager, or Sourcing as needed

  • Upon request, manually uploads PO's missing from Infor Nexus system

  • Upon request, manually enters or edits PO's directly within Infor Nexus system

  • Updates Infor Nexus system to add new vendors, new DC locations, etc. (general data administrator role)

  • Creates ad hoc reports from Infor Nexus System

Key Skills:


  • Must have strong MS Access Database skills - Intermediate to Advanced Level

  • Must have strong MS Excel skills - Intermediate to Advanced Level

  • Able to quickly understand data table relationships and leverage knowledge to effectively research and resolve data issues

  • Strong attention to detail, focus on accuracy

  • Strong sense of urgency, follows through to resolution

  • Prefer knowledge of international logistics, trade compliance systems and data - purchase orders, suppliers, product library, etc.

  • Experience working with Infor Nexus or other international supply chain visibility system, highly preferred
