VP of Learner Experience at Carrus in Lehi, Utah

Job Description:

The VP of Learner experience (VPLX) s oversees all aspects of the learner journey from course content development and maintenance to content partnerships to customer support. The goal of the VPLX is to help facilitate and accelerate learning that enables learners to find and progress their healthcare careers. The VPLX directs the divisions training development and delivery as well as the support structures to empower learners and ensure their training allows them to meet employer needs.

As part of the divisional leadership team, the VPLX will:

  • Partner with organizational leaders to identify market needs for training and either develop or identify content partners to bring new courses to market

  • Facilite a best-in-class training design methodology

  • Develop proactive learner support experiences that maximize course completion rates

  • Plan, launch, monitor, and act on long-range learning initiatives that are aligned with the divisions strategic goals

  • Design and establish benchmarks that measure the impact and effectiveness of program and course delivery

  • Forge relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including, but not limited to, content partners, universities/colleges, healthcare systems, and government entities


The VPLX requires a degree, masters degree preferred, in education, organizational development, human resources, or comparable fields of study and a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in the areas of human resources management, academic and/or professional development, or comparable areas. Experience in a hospital or clinic learning division preferred.


  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate cross functionally

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Significant experience in educational outcome design

  • Familiarity with the design, management, and operation of health IT systems

  • Proven ability to link and apply complex technologies to business strategies

  • Experience in negotiating contracts with vendors, contractors, and others

  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
