Staffing Pros is looking for an experienced trainer/instructor who wish to contribute to the mission of the Joint Staff Training Program, continue to learn, and make a difference in the careers of Action Officers for years to come.
Develops and revises training courses and prepares appropriate training catalogs. Prepares instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids).
Prepares all student materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms).
Trains personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, and seminars.
Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials.
Develops any associated media products needed to support courseware products; this could include photos and simple graphics.
Other duties as assigned.
Active Top Secret government security clearance required
Must have training delivery/facilitation experience, preferably in a DOD environment.
Experience in training delivery in a DOD environment related to the instruction of military process/procedures and/or tools.
Potential training topics may include but are not limited to: Joint Service Training Program (JSTP) Introductory Course, Division Chief Course, General/Flag Officer/Desk Side, Orientation, User Interface/Pilot, and Refresher Courses, Effective Writing Course, and Sharepoint User and Site Ownership Course.
Quickly demonstrate the ability, confidence and competence to come up to speed on required training material and to answer questions about the training material both in the classroom and after the training.
Must have the ability to help evolve/modify training materials; possess excellent grammar and writing skills; and the ability to follow the internal process for recommending and making changes to student and instructor materials.
Training administration experience.
Candidates should possess a combination of Instructional Systems Design, course management, and instructor experience.
Working knowledge and understanding of DoD and Joint Staff organizations and functions, and the Joint Staff mission, requirements and work environment.
Working knowledge and experience using an enterprise task management, collaboration, and records management system such as the Joint Staff Action Processing (JSAP) system, Enterprise Content Management (ECM), or similar systems.
Working knowledge and training experience with SharePoint 2010 and 2013 or later versions.
