Overview
The Inventory Planner responsibilities include both demand management and inventory planning of specific product/service parts lines. They plan inventory, schedule purchase and repair orders and coordinate the flow of work and materials to meet delivery expectations of forecasted and actual order demand volumes while minimizing inventory levels. The position will coordinate the stocking, shipment, and logistics of parts/products to meet customer demand and client service level agreements. The planner will monitor demand changes in our planning systems (™Prophet/Clarify) to ensure high accuracy of forecasting based on demand planning methodology and forecasting.

Responsibilities
  • With guidance from Planning Team Leader and Compucom Account Teams develop inventory management and stocking strategy plans to support both service parts and project requirements
  • Identify current and potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise interested parties (internal and external) of status and recovery plans
  • Execute purchase orders based on material requirements planning (MRP) and coordinate the flow of the materials throughout the acquisition & receipt cycle
  • Coordinate material movement between vendors, warehouse and repair production organizations
  • Assist in the development, implementation, analysis and coordination of the master repair schedule
  • Utilize Material Requirements in ™Prophet Planning system and ensure that data is accurate and up to date
  • Facilitate transmittal of replenishment orders and customer orders to distribution center and Forward-Stocking-Location network
  • Serve as key contact for customer service inquiries by internal Compucom account teams and external clients
  • Maintain and update parts master files [items, vendors, etc.] including new item setup
  • Set up and monitor the integrity of service Kit Lists
  • Help monitor and manage inventory accuracy
  • Manage inventory levels to meet corporate goals
  • Analyze data and collaborate with Team Leader to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies
  • Assist in maintaining the monthly KPIs including service levels and inventory on-hand
  • Provide reports and requested information as needed
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications
  • 3-5 years professional experience in planning, inventory control or materials planning role (in a service parts environment is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of demand planning and supply chain system tools
  • Advanced computer skills, Excel experience mandatory
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills
  • Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and experience with business operations
  • BA Degree or equivalent
  • Professional certifications are a plus
