Serves as a resource for faculty and staff in the Department of Bioengineering providing communication, outreach, and administrative support for academic reputation coordination. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - Coordinates efforts and activities to enhance the local, regional, national and global academic reputation of the bioengineering department, including developing and/or coordinating departmental exhibit, tradeshow participation, promotional material, and maintaining department social media accounts among others. Executes strategies for bioengineering graduate programs and certificates student recruitment and supports graduate affairs recruiting efforts.
25% - Essential - Assists with business travel and lodging arrangements for faculty, staff, students and guests and processes personal travel reimbursements and disbursement requests including interpretation of applicable policies & procedures. Assists faculty and staff with inquiries related to travel. Attends required training.
20% - Essential - Schedules appointments and reservations, manages registrations and mailing lists, and maintains digital databases for various programs and events in bioengineering. Manages, organizes, and publicizes the Page Morton Hunter Distinguished Seminar Series, the C. Dayton Riddle Symposia, and innovation events. Creates and produces documents, agendas, and evaluations for programs and events. Secures venues and contracted services for programs and events as needed. Attends programs and events to provide customer service to attendees as needed.
15% - Essential - Serves as webmaster for departmental website and related webpages associated with departmental activities assuring content relevance, marketability and accuracy, and maintaining activity calendar. Coordinates and disseminates information as assigned. Coordinates and disseminates information as assigned. Provides administrative support to Department Chair as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Exp 3+ years in communication or business management
