Under the direction of the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Parts Finisher performs routine finishing operations in sanding, polishing, and deburring.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Maintains supplies, equipment, personal protective equipment and environmental records associated with area processes. Uses a wide range of hand and power tools. Inspects finishing applications to ensure established standards are met. Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must possess the ability to assist in loading material into machine and unloading from machine and handling scrap.
  • Perform deburr operation, threadserts, and edgebreaks.
  • Perform designated part verifications, fill out inspection reports and advise QAM of any issues.
  • Place finished parts in designated areas with safe handling of material and parts.
  • Candidate will also possess the ability to learn and follow ISO9000 procedures.


Operate forklift truck to load, unload and move materials. (License required.)

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING REQUIRED: Requires the use of safety glasses, safety shoes, a respirator, hearing protection and protective clothing such as a uniform or lab coat. Other, more specialized protective gear may be required occasionally.

  • Requires a High School diploma or GED
  • Up to 1 year related experience
  • Ability to read and equate metal weights and sizes in order to establish accountability for movement in and out of the plant
