Your team

  • You will be part of the Stable Value team and will contribute to Prudential’s mission of improving financial security for individuals, families and communities.

  • We will provide you with opportunities to work across Prudential Retirement and other Prudential divisions to learn Prudential’s Stable Value products, the Stable Value marketplace, and the broader Retirement industry.

Your role

  • Underwrite Stable Value risks for both new business opportunities and existing in-force business

  • Provide risk management insight in new product/market development exercises

  • Contribute to reporting critical risk to senior leaders and key partners

  • Analyze business cases in a manner which contributes to the profitability of the product, the reputation of the company and attainment of strategic business goals

  • Embrace the spirit of continuous improvement and recommend changes to underwriting policies and modeling practices

  • Take intelligent risks that turn resolution of client issues into opportunities to help satisfy business goals.

  • Four-year degree required. Major in mathematics, finance, or economics is preferred. 

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to successfully engage across all levels of the organization

  • Strong collaboration skills to work across Prudential Retirement and other Prudential divisions

  • Excellent decision-making skills and driven to achieve results

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Leadership capabilities demonstrated through previous work experience, achievements, and/or extracurricular activities (i.e. community leadership)

It would be a plus if you have:

  • Financial services experience 

  • Experience with the stable value marketplace, fixed income investments, and financial risk modeling, including stochastic modeling
