Venue Supervisor\Venue Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Staff

FSLA STATUS: Non exempt

PAY LEVEL: Hourly

CLOSING DATE:

LOCATION: Grand Lake Casino

EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D.

EXPERIENCE: Customer service experience preferred; wait exp preferred; cash handling exp required.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license; State issued id, State required liquor license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position requires: the ability to carry heavy trays of food, dishes and glassware; good balance; ability to stand or walk for entire shifts

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise and bright flashing lights.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to patrons in the restaurant.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Position requires good memory and focus; ability to work under pressure and to serve customers quickly and efficiently

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Performs excellent customer service at all times

  • Provides fast, efficient, and courteous service

  • Collects payments from customers

  • Takes orders from patrons for food or beverages

  • Checks patrons ID to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption

  • Checks with customers to ensure that they are enjoying themselves corrects any problems

  • Serves food or beverages to patrons

  • Prepares hot and cold drinks for patrons or orders alcoholic beverages from bar

  • Recommends certain dishes & explains how various items on the menu are prepared

  • Keeps tables and dining areas clean and ready for new diners

  • Stocks service areas with supplies and keeps areas clean

  • Replenishes supply of dishes, silverware, and glasses in the dining room

  • Answers patrons questions, explains menu items and specials

  • Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Reliable transportation

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Multitasking skills

  • Adaptability
