JOB TITLE:   Software Training and Support

DEPARTMENT:  IT

REPORTS TO: IT Manager

CLASSIFICATION:    

FSLA STATUS:  Non exempt

PAY LEVEL: Hourly

EDUCATION: Minimum High school diploma or G.E.D.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position preferred.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license; State issued id

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; climb, bend, kneel or squat for extended periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, bright and flashing lights.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:  This position requires the flexibility to work any shift including weekends and holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide end users with software training for various applications.

  • Provide end users with support regarding software related issues.

  • Work with software developers and third-party support to ensure software issues are resolved promptly and software applications are being utilized properly.

  • Plan for and oversee software updates at the direction of the IT Manager.

  • Communicate software issues and changes with the end users.

  • Create easy-to-follow guides for various applications for end users to reference.

  • Work with the IT Manager during software implementation, provide training, and follow up with end users to ensure applications are fully utilized.

  • Assist the IT Manager and end users in developing efficient workflows within software applications.

  • Ensure security best practices when implementing software and maintain compliance with IT policies and procedures.

  • Assist Desktop Support at the directive of the IT Manager.

  • Other duties assigned by management.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 


  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Have reliable transportation to and from work.

  • Have written and verbal communication skills

  • Have multitasking skills

  • Be Pleasant and have a polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.

  • Adaptability
