TITLE

Manager, Retirement Plans

LOCATION

Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)

REPORTS TO

Director, Total Rewards Operations

POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, the Manager, Retirement Plans Administration has a broad range of responsibilities designed to lead the administration of the Company s defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans both qualified and non-qualified in compliance with ERISA and other relevant laws and regulations. This role will also serve as the Company s internal subject matter expert on systems, processes, and procedures to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of the Company s retirement plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage and guide the work of the team that is responsible for all administration and compliance activities of the Company s retirement plans

* Provide subject matter expertise and direction on special or complex retirement project and initiatives, including but not limited to plan mergers, plan terminations, and compliance initiatives

* Lead peer review of retirement administration team work, including but not limited to benefit calculations, government filings, regulatory notices, and participant communications

* Lead the execution of compliance programs, internal audits, external audits, and government audits

* Identify improvement opportunities in the administration of our retirement plans, provide recommendations, and implement solutions using a combination of systems, tools, processes, and standard operating procedures

* Lead the design and implementation of systems and reporting for the successful and effective management and administration of retirement plans, including defining systems requirements, analyzing file specifications, testing, and researching/resolving issues internally and with third-party administrators and systems

* Manage third-party vendor partners, systems, and administrative solutions

* Lead the execution of compliance programs, internal audits, external audits, and government audits

* Resolve escalated employee and retiree issues

* Serve as technical resource and mentor to the retirement administration team, including identifying and delivering on training opportunities

* Maintain knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting retirement plans and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and other government requirements and standards

* Maintain and update plan materials, participant communications, and other communication materials

* Maintain and update the annual administration and compliance calendar, ensuring quality and timeliness

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

* Bachelor s Degree required

Experience

* At least 5 years of retirement and compliance administration experience; 10+ years in roles of increasing responsibility preferred

* Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations governing defined benefit and defined contribution plans required both qualified and non-qualified

* Experience managing and developing others preferred

* Ability to research and resolve issues in a timely manner

* Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

* Ability to work independently to resolve issues on a day-to-day basis
