How you will contribute

Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Kit Building Attendant position in the Global Engineered Infrastructure Products Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will support the shipping department with emphasis on inventory accuracy, the receiving of product, and the issuing of material to manufacturing sources. Bag, box, and consolidate all shipping hardware per customer specifications.

Perform audits within the storeroom

Maintain good housekeeping in the area exercising safety precautions in accordance with company policies

Take accurate precision measurements and occasionally use other gauges and dials when inspecting materials to assure that material meets Valmont's specifications

Complete the paperwork for any product that is given out of the storeroom or inventory put into the storeroom

Perform inventory cycle counts as requested

Assist with other functions within the department

What it takes

Required Qualifications

The ability to safely lift parts and boxes throughout the shift

Strong applied mathematical skills

The ability to complete all applicable paperwork accurately

A working knowledge of using e-mail

The ability to work overtime to support department requirements

Highly qualified candidates will also possess:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience operating pallet jacks and or forklifts

Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills

Initiative to resolve issues in a timely manner

Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
