To support continued growth and expansion plans, Kiddie Academy is seeking a dynamic Director of Franchise Development. This position is responsible for managing the process of awarding franchise agreements to prospective franchisee candidates by ensuring a sales-ready pipeline. This position reports directly to the VP of Franchise Development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Develops a successful franchise sales regimen ensuring a sales-ready pipeline of prospective franchise candidates and keeps the VP of Franchise Development informed of all sales contacts and candidate status through CRM system and staff meetings

  • Embraces a team selling approach utilizing the expertise and assistance of other departments, VP of Franchise Development, CDO and President

  • Makes effective use of leads generated from various marketing channels

  • Develops referrals from existing franchisees and prospects for self-generated leads

  • Drives growth and brand dominance of Kiddie Academy through strategic franchising

  • Works closely with Marketing Department to develop and implement new creative campaigns to generate leads to meet and exceed individual and department goals/quotas

  • Demonstrates an effective and strategic use of prospecting and cold calling utilizing approved question-based selling scripts, presentations and techniques

  • Makes recommendations for enhancements and improvements to the company’s Discovery Process


  • Manages prospects through the Discovery Process:

    • Tracks candidates through the process and maintains all contact using CRM

    • Ensures that all company policies and regulatory compliance are met or exceeded  

    • Manages the Discovery Process with each candidate and Orientation days

    • Ensures candidates meet or exceed company requirements

    • Ensures sales cycle targets are met

    • Presents candidates for management approval

    • Obtains prospective franchisee executed Franchise Agreements with approved, committed and motivated candidates

    • Coordinates and manages transfer of new franchisees to the Finance Department


  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing or related field

  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience in sales; franchise experience preferred

  • Effective communicator both written and verbal

  • Self-starter personality with a take charge / pro-active selling style

  • Excellent interviewing and interpersonal skills

  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
