Job Description:
Supervise commercial and treasury management support activities of a service team at one at multiple locations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Provide operational, technical and functional expertise in work policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a champion for the partnership between the respective Commercial and Treasury Management Support Teams within the regions and those more centrally located.
  • Supervise 7-15 commercial and treasury management employees, possibly at multiple locations. Ensure that assigned commercial and treasury management support team is performing assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Make recommendations for improving processes and procedures that will result in risk mitigation, time savings, cost reduction, or an improvement in customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively document unwritten procedures and collaborate with Department Trainers.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of training programs for the commercial and treasury management support team.
  • Provide advice and guidance to commercial and treasury management support team regarding workload prioritization, procedures, risk avoidance, personnel issues, and problem customer situations.
  • Partnering with the Commercial Operations Manager, to manage and troubleshoot problem situations.
  • Responsible for performance management, employee development, employee engagement, and disciplinary action for assigned commercial and treasury management employees.
  • Supervise and make recommendations to streamline call recording and tracking data collection requests.
  • Develop relationships with internal partners throughout the bank. Partner on the development of materials for new initiatives when possible.
  • Responsible for partnering with business line management to understand needs and ensure that the commercial and treasury management support team is effectively and efficiently meeting them.
  • Represent the team in the communication of concerns to partners and business line management.
  • Exercises supervisory authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, and employee relations matters.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Treasury Management Service and M&T Bank by developing and maintaining strong internal and external partnerships.
  • Possible travel to perform work duties and for training and special projects.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 year customer service or operations experience in Banking
  • 2 years supervisory experience, including mentoring & coaching
