Our Human Resources Department is currently seeking a Director of Payroll in our Omaha, Nebraska office.
Direct activities in providing payroll services for U.S., Canada and Mexico that exceed the needs of the organization.
Continuously review the effectiveness of current processes and strive to identify improvements with the goal of creating ongoing efficiencies.
Coach, develop and mentor direct reports to deliver phenomenal customer satisfaction.
Proactively ensure that internal controls/audits are designed, communicated and monitored as necessary to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
Develop partnerships with internal departments and external contacts to assume the role of "trusted advisor" in all areas of Payroll.
Implement a cross-training program to ensure staff bench strength and to allow for increased knowledge.
Applicants for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, accounting, finance, or a related field required
Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
5-7 years of experience in payroll or a similar environment including two years of payroll system experience required, preferably in a multi-site company/location environment
Minimum two years of supervisory experience required
Minimum of 1 year experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Kronos, PeopleSoft, payroll interface, etc.) preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
Knowledge of federal, state and international wage and hour and tax laws
CPP Certification preferred
