Our Human Resources Department is currently seeking a Director of Payroll in our Omaha, Nebraska office.


  • Direct activities in providing payroll services for U.S., Canada and Mexico that exceed the needs of the organization.
  • Continuously review the effectiveness of current processes and strive to identify improvements with the goal of creating ongoing efficiencies.
  • Coach, develop and mentor direct reports to deliver phenomenal customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively ensure that internal controls/audits are designed, communicated and monitored as necessary to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
  • Develop partnerships with internal departments and external contacts to assume the role of "trusted advisor" in all areas of Payroll.
  • Implement a cross-training program to ensure staff bench strength and to allow for increased knowledge.

Applicants for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business, accounting, finance, or a related field required
  • Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.


  • 5-7 years of experience in payroll or a similar environment including two years of payroll system experience required, preferably in a multi-site company/location environment
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Kronos, PeopleSoft, payroll interface, etc.) preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
  • Knowledge of federal, state and international wage and hour and tax laws
  • CPP Certification preferred
