About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Senior HR Generalist to support our high growth organization.  This position will have responsibility for a broad range of HR activities.  The role will also work closely with our HR Business Partners supporting the Commercial organization, as well as with our HR Centers of Expertise for implementing programs and projects.


  • Assure compliance with Federal and State laws and mitigate risk to the company by staying abreast of current HR practices and changes in employment law, then promptly addressing any gaps in the company’s existing policies and procedures

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on routine employee relations issues

  • Conduct Exit Interviews and perform qualitative data analysis of turnover, discipline, and other metrics

  • Serve as the day to day HR contact for the Commercial organization on routine inquiries, including policy interpretation and general inquires

  • Partner with the HR Business Partners to execute the annual compensation process (merit budget process, employee compensation statements and communication), off-cycle promotions and job changes, and other associated compensation projects

  • Act as HR Liaison to Sales Operations to effectively support field employees including policy interpretation and incentive compensation efforts

  • Provide coaching and support regarding hiring, onboarding, employee development, performance management, succession planning, and relations

  • Provide coaching and feedback on how to improve individual performance to employees and management across assigned organizations

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to develop and execute talent management strategies within functions

  • Support Commercial client groups based on business needs and strategic imperatives

  • Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Act as HR Liaison for on-boarding requirements to ensure consistency & compliance

  • Participate in cross-functional work groups to gain and offer HR insight on business and operational challenges

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of HR experience preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry; or relevant combination of education and experience preferred

  • Advanced HR certification (SPHR, CCP, etc.) preferred but not required

  • Strong HRIS experience required. Workday experience a plus

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, use discretion and manage sensitive and confidential information

  • Demonstrated ability to be pro-active, anticipate issues and effectively problem-solve

  • The ability to anticipate complications related to complex tasks and processes and search for opportunities of simplifications

  • Excellent professional and personal demeanor, including strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple changing priorities

  • Ability to apply an organized and systematic approach to accomplishing project deliverables

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and Cloud based storage platforms
