We are looking for Heavy Equipment Operator who will grow at our Pacific Junction, IA location. \nThe Heavy Equipment Operator will be working at a Scotts plant operations facility. The Operator prepares organic mixes using a heavy equipment loader, pushes or relocates piles to ensure segregation of materials. Supplies production with a continuous supply of material. Monitors the stock piles for excessive heat, turns stockpiles, extinguishes small fires and ensures the proper amount of water is used to prepare the stockpile for production use. Maintains equipment..\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nThe Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, snow blowers and other pieces of equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by management and company policies and procedures.\n\nPhysical Job Requirements\n\nAbility to work in a dusty, dirty environment.\n\nAbility to work in all weather elements, including heat and cold.\n\nAbility to lift 50 pounds.\n\nPhysical ability to climb in and out of equipment.\n\nAbility to sit for long periods of time.\n\nAbility to safely operate heavy equipment.\n\nQualifications for the position\n\nGraduation from high school or GED equivalent.\n\nOne or more years of experience using medium and/or heavy equipment.
