This role will support the Mining CFO to drive critical business initiatives related to business strategy, growth & execution. The role will partner closely with both operational and finance leadership within the business to ensure we meet our financial and operational commitments.
Wabtec Mining is a key business unit within the Wabtec Equipment portfolio. Over the past 3 years the worldwide market for Mine haul trucks has grown which drives growth in Wabtec's Mining drive system product and aftermarket offering. Wabtec Mining has expanded its product portfolio and customer base during the same period with a global footprint in key markets - North America, China, India and Russia. Revenue will exceed $650M in 2020 and over $250M in EBIT and Cash. Mining "wheel" shipments are expected to exceed 1,000 for the first time since 2013
Support Mining CFO and the broader Mining Leadership team in monthly/quarterly financial and operational results to drive orders, profit and cash flow performance and growth
Provide support on short and long-range estimate cycles and associated FP&A requirements. Contribute to developing estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews.
Work with the CFO and Mining GM to manage business headcount planning & execution
Maintain standardized reporting for the Monthly close Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flow, Monthly Orders and Sales reports, RPO, T&L
Maintain weekly dashboard on the key KPI's for the business including risk and opportunities for the period
Maintain dialogue with Komatsu on customer daily payment process and credit memo reporting for support packages and warranty
Maintain day 1 monthly close rhythm on key manual bookings for the business - CAP allocation, CMR entries, orders bookings and adjustments
Provide analytics on Oracle systemic bookings of orders, revenue, COGS and margin
Coordinate with Mining Warranty administrator monthly financial bookings of warranty claims and payouts
Maintain the Mining CMR process for 5 active NPI projects
Take initiative on process simplification and upgrade relevant financial systems & operating processes. Improve finance reporting, management reporting, budgeting and estimating tools.
Bachelor's degree in Business, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting and/or related areas
Able to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
Strong oral and written communication skills
Team player and flexible/proactive attitude
PC proficiency - HFM, Oracle Projects, Excel and other MS Office tools
Demonstrated team leadership ability
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Established analytical ability
