Overview: As the Staff Digital Product Manager for our analytics and reporting suite, you will be responsible for creating strong working relationships with and influencing across executive leadership, product management, engineering & functional groups. You will create and execute strategy within and across Wabtec, and with partners and customers.
Essential Responsibilities: As a domain expert for your product, you will engage customers at mid-level management & technical levels to develop/refine product strategy, influence customer direction and execute strategy. You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of Wabtec software products, making recommendations on extending software solutions, and representing Wabtec to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts. In this role you will:
Be responsible for product performance with targets on revenue, cost & margin.
Evangelize concepts beyond current offerings and consider business model innovation (product, service and delivery innovations)
Proactively drive product decisions to balance customer needs, install base requirements (refresh) and long-term enterprise differentiation.
Identify market trends and opportunities.
Execute vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle.
Be/become a domain/business expert for the product.
Support the establishment/refinement of product management processes.
Be responsible for creating strong working relationship & influence across product management, engineering and other stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across the functions, partners and customers.
Establish and manage relationship across the functions, partners, customers and technical experts across industries and geographies.
Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales and user/developer community.
Travel required as necessary.
Possess financial acumen and accountability.
Engage customers as a trusted partner.
Degree Requirements: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Years of Experience: 5
Education in: Computer Science, STEM, or Business/Management
Data-driven BI, reporting or data visualization product development experience
Design thinking and or user experience skillset
Experience with business analytics product like Qlik, Tableau, Microsoft BI
Knowledge of one or more SQL or No SQL database technologies like Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, CouchDB
Management of budgets, targets, and additional financial metrics
Familiarity with modern product development and management practices
Defines and/or influences pricing strategy for product / services and alignment across functions and organizations
Aligns goals, feature sets, capabilities to business objectives for the product (i.e. Profitability, ROI, Market Penetration, Channel development, Brand Development, etc.)
Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills
Evangelizes new technology, predicts trends, and identifies new opportunities based on trends
Identifies the customer's business and strategic needs, concerns, and desires for the value delivery capabilities of the products
Establishes and maintains relationships with ecosystem stakeholders and thought leaders
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other Wabtec businesses
