This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana for a Global Cybersecurity Operations Manager. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.


 

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Global Operations Team in close partnership with Cybersecurity Engineering and Risk Management departments.


 

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:


 


  • Leads Cummins Cybersecurity Operations and Response Team.  Cyber Threat Analysis; Cyber Defense Operations; Cyber Incident Response & Investigation;


  • Provide guidance to tier one/two/three and other first responders for proper handling of cybersecurity incidents.


  • Participate in industry task forces and working groups where appropriate to understand current and future threats.


  • Responsible for ensuring information and data on computer systems is protected and all networks and computer systems are adequately secure to prevent unauthorized access; investigates potential security breaches and recommends corrective actions to resolve and/or prevent reoccurrences; responsible for promoting IT security awareness.


  • Lead execution of complex response to computer security incidents according to the Information Security Policies and Industry Best Practices.


  • Lead efforts of and provide timely updates to multiple business units during response.


  • Provide recommendations to the business units.

  • Contribute to a team of cyber security professionals in a leadership/coach/mentor capacity while working with threat data, writing reports, briefing event details to leadership, and coordinating remediation with personnel.


  • Lead analysis of potential impact of new threats and exploits and communicate risks to Cyber Security Engineering.


  • Monitor information security related web sites (SANS Internet Storm Center, etc.) and mailing lists (BugTraq, etc.) to stay up to date on current attacks and trends.


  • Ensure technology employed by the Incident Response team compliments operational processes.


  • Perform in-depth analysis in support of complex Incident Response operations and provide enhancement / recommendations.


  • Understand and applies concepts of computer forensics
    Provide guidance to tier one and other first responders for proper handling of Information Security incidents.


  • Participate in industry task forces and working groups where appropriate to understand current and future threats.


  • Develop requirements for technical capabilities for cyber incident management.


  • Recommend configuration changes to improve the performance, usability, and value of cyber analysis tools.


  • Manage the information security data sources to maintain organizational situational awareness.


  • Trouble-shoots very complex, cross-business issues within existing security and privacy protections.


  • Perform root cause analysis and makes recommendations on changes.

Cyber Security Threat Analysis - Assesses internal and external Cyber Security attacks using Cyber Security standards and tools to identify specific vulnerabilities.

Cyber Security Defense Operations - Performs operations according to the Cyber Security Operations Plan to detect and mitigate potential or real-time internal and external threats.


Cyber Security Incident Response - Investigates and analyzes relevant response activities using incident response plans to end malicious activity and restore Cummins business operations.


Cyber Security Investigation - Captures and analyzes digital forensic evidence using forensic tools to identify the severity, exposure and threat of exploitation.


Balances stakeholders - Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.

Experience 


  • Minimum ten years of experience in cybersecurity with minimum three to five years in a leadership management role.


  • Solid experience with SIEM solutions (Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar, etc.)


  • Previous experience in vulnerability management and security data analytics.


  • IT network administration a plus. 
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related subject or equivalent industry experience required. CISSP or any related cybersecurity certification preferred.


 
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
