Position Summary The position of Engineer is responsible for but not limited to mechanical operation of Chillers, Boilers, Cooling towers, Electrical systems, Fire alarm systems, HVAC units, Air handler’s, as well as guestroom InnComm system. Directs maintenance personnel, and conducts repairs as well as preventative maintenance in the plant.
Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:
Key Job Functions
Request parts and other materials required to maintain mechanical equipment.
Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
Conduct daily boiler, compressors, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers and other machinery daily.
Check and treats water for hardness/ softness daily.
May be required to perform other duties as required by engineering management.

Qualifications and Skills
A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.
Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates
Strong communication skills
Mechanical aptitude with some electrical background
Ability to make sound decisions
Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations dealing with employees in a production environment
Must be able to work independently and/or with a group to accomplish the goal/s at hand. A positive attitude is strongly desired
Must be familiar with working on a computer. Be able to login/log off. Utilize the management system on a computer
Education and/or Experience
Must have engineering experience and 2nd class Boilers and also a 2nd class Air conditioning/Refrigeration license
Must have valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
