The Employee Health Manager has the direct-line responsibility for day to day operations and overall responsibility for Employee Health and Worker's Compensation. Incumbent is responsible for the oversight case management of employees injured at work, or experiencing a work-related illness or exposure. Will implement proper protocol to ensure maximum medical involvement and appropriate return to work placement. Incumbent will provide education and support to the injured employee during the medical and vocational recovery. Will interface with treating physicians, therapy services, worker's compensation insurance carriers, attorneys, and SC Worker's Compensation. Coordinates and implements all employee annual requirements pertaining to Employee Health and tracks all delinquent employees. Performs physical assessments for new hired employees. Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Managing trends of injures and developing educational plans. Developing weekly reports for leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Current license as a registered Nurse to practice in the State of South Carolina.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.

B. EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

C. EXPERIENCE: Must have experience in clinical nursing. Experience in Occupation Health setting desired.

D. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Computer skills required. Knowledge of American Disability Act, Family Medical Leave of Absence, OSHA and Work Comp.
