The responsibilities of the Access Implementation Engineer is to assist with the Engineering design review, Lab integration testing, network documentation, network deployment of the WOW! What you'll be doing:
  • Review engineering design and develop Standard Implementation MOP
  • Integration Support and maintain build book
  • Execute handoff plan and knowledge transfer to NOC and Assurance Teams
  • Monitor and lead scheduled maintenance work
  • Install, Configure and test in Integration Lab
  • Serve as escalation for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Network related impairments
  • Prepare work package Documentation and open Change request ticket
  • Build system support documentation including instructional procedures, provisioning guidelines, test plans, problem documentation, and functional process flows
  • Participate in research pertaining to the development of new network systems and management tools
  • Works closely with more senior engineers. Works on projects of minimal complexity.
  • We Help plan projects. Limited planning required outside of the immediate or assigned tasks.

What we're looking for:

  • BS or equivalent experience

Experience/Skills Needed:
  • 3-5 years experience in Metro Ethernet
  • Knowledge of Distributed Access Architecture and DOCSIS technology
  • Experience in IP network sub-netting
  • Knowledge of RF-related electronics and transports and OSPF, RIP and BGP routing protocols preferred
  • Knows and applies basic concepts and techniques of the technology.
  • Will lead technical staff and/or Engineer I
  • Experienced with a number of platforms and/or systems. SME in at least one area or system. Working knowledge of other areas of specialization. Technical accomplished are detailed.
  • Exercises considerable latitude and technical judgment in deciding work methods
  • Able to effectively train his/her workgroup and effectively lead work teams within the workgroup.
  • Able to give effective presentations to general audiences and write convincing proposals and reports with all necessary backup material for consumption
