The Water Business Line of Arcadis is looking for a Project Water Engineer to join the Arcadis team. We are interested in candidates in Houston, TX. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow professionally while working on a wide variety of projects alongside a dedicated and experienced staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Design of water and wastewater facility improvement projects that may include treatment plants, lift stations, pump stations and chemical feed systems. Design of site/civil improvements, including grading, drainage, and distribution / collection systems conveyance projects. Construction oversight of designed water and wastewater infrastructure improvements. Individual should be detailed oriented, with experience in preparing design calculations and drawings, and accustomed to producing high quality work and experienced in coordination of work with engineers of other disciplines. Will assist in client management and help identify developing private and public clients as well as the preparation of proposals. Provide design quality assurance. Opportunities to supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineer and design/drafting technical staff. Project management/Task Management, including the management of multidiscipline engineering teams, meeting project schedules, budgets and quality objectives, financial forecasting, assignment of tasks and staff mentoring. Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills. Experience managing preparation of project drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates. Excellent technical engineering skills in water and wastewater systems and infrastructure. Design services during construction and construction oversight experience. Hydraulics design and/or modeling experience would be useful.

  • 7 Years experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Current PE License in TX or ability to obtain in short timeframe.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with CADD and 3D Modeling.
