GSA Product Owner - Project Manager
What can you expect?

In this position you will perform various responsibilities across the Global Strategic Advisory (GSA) landscape and will have a high level knowledge across all analytic solutions, enabling you to identify and discuss possible synergies across teams and regions. Using this knowledge and following set standards and processes, you will evaluate existing and new solution ideas to provide support to Business Leads identified as champions of the solutions space.

This role serves as a collaborative liaison between our global analytics colleagues, technology, marketing, legal and vendor resources. You will be assigned Product Owner responsibilities of a variety of solutions and will carry out Project Management activities for those assigned solutions as well as other solutions across the Analytic Solution space. Our brand new team is the global lead of product management for GSA, with an emphasis on both internal and external products. We are responsible for defining and identifying the product standards across GSA.

We'll count on you to :
  • Manage complex projects or pieces of a larger project end-to-end to deliver business outcomes, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of client satisfaction
  • Establish and manage an appropriate project governance structure, and managing all project stakeholders and project team members in the successful delivery of the project, including managing their tasks, project workload, and deadlines
  • Prepare detailed project plans and summary timelines for sharing with Stakeholders
  • Interact with the business to identify, capture and analyze business requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Organize and conduct weekly status discussions with vendors in addition to follow ups as needed to organize contracts and onboard vendors, coordinate with Architecture, IT Administrators, and Legal, as needed
  • Participate in work sessions, taking notes and tracking action items, persons responsible, and use of that data for weekly update reports about what is completed, outstanding, in progress, needing escalation or decision
  • Conduct project status calls/meetings with follow up, ensuring colleagues know what is expected and their roles and deliverables responsibility
  • Assist with resource scheduling including work sessions, training, feedback, training documentation, and similar types of activity with colleagues and vendors. Scheduling resources may involve working with analytics leaders globally to understand team member availability, communicating agendas with work groups and scheduling tele/video conferences
  • Prepare weekly status reporting for Leadership; collaborate with project team in business as well as IT to track issues
  • Actively manage all project risks and issues, and ensure Lessons Learned on projects are shared with colleagues and recommendations adopted are implemented
  • Liaise with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project
  • Provide technical support and input to the Manager on project proposals of average to difficult complexity
  • Research and provide recommendations on new best practice standards
  • Develop and implement standards, methods, tools, templates for project management, execution, and reporting

You'll need to have:
  • 5+ years of Product or Project Management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and across teams
  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

We'd love to see:
  • Experience in Reinsurance domain or Risk Management space for Insurance
  • Experience working with Catastrophe Modelling or related technologies
  • PMP certification
