Job Description:

  • Epiq is seeking a candidate for a Records/IT position.

This position provides maintenance of data, records, and files necessary to provide servicing to the assigned client team or department. Additionally, this position provides technical assistance and support related to computer systems hardware, administration and internal support of PCs and laptops, and video-conferencing at client locations. Tasks include end user support (local/remote), analyzing requirements, training, resolving problems, installing hardware or software solutions, level 1 technical support, and management of all aspects of document control and records management throughout the information lifecycle for physical or electronic records. This position requires sound independent judgment, based on best practices and commonly applied standards.

Essential Functions:


  • Setting up and support of video-conferences.

  • Schedule conferencing for the firm using current software.

  • Provide meeting connection information to requestors and participants.

  • Documents and escalates all level 2/3 technical issues to appropriate resource.

  • Assists with software releases and updates.

  • Using technology to create, track, store and destroy records

  • Communication with end-users at all levels of the firm, including firm clientele

  • Database management and maintenance to ensure records are accurately documented and stored.

  • Maintaining security by following procedures and controlling access.

  • Perform photocopying, mail, reception and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Must have excellent customer relation and communication skills.

  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple projects and deadlines in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Ability to work with a variety of computer related equipment, including modem, display, keyboard, mouse/trackball, fax, cartridges and ribbons, magnetic reel tape, display stations and cabling. 

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs on a consistent basis.

  • Ability to routinely stand, bend and stretch.

  • 2 years’ experience in a professional office environment is preferred.
