UPS is seeking a tech-savvy HRTS Systems Analyst to support the HR Transformation efforts and the implementation of new HR technologies, including the Workday Recruiting module. The HRTS Systems Analyst will be responsible for the applicant tracking system data conversion efforts to support the recruiting processes within the Workday tool. He/She will follow up with stakeholders to clarify, quantify, and confirm data points and communicate the needs of the customer to the project team. The HRTS Systems Analyst executes plans, data requests, and deliverables on schedule to ensure senior management and stakeholders stay informed and updated.
Responsibilities and Duties
Looks for innovative opportunities to assess value added impact, risks, challenges, opportunities, and benefits for the organization
Configures new technology to support new operating model and updated business processes
Develops and executes test scenarios to validate functionality of systems and ensures technologies are configured to support business requirements
Collaborates with project team members to exchange information and respond to requests in a timely manner
Follows up with manager formally (e.g., status meetings, etc.) and informally to continuously manage productivity, timelines and deliverables
Knowledge and Skills
Manages HR Systems Support Performance and Vendor Relationships: Reviews and analyzes recurring issues to identify possible problem triggers and best resolution tactics; evaluates existing HR systems and workflow processes to provide technical advice and recommendations leading to improvement changes; evaluates impact of new and modified applications to determine their effect on existing applications and works with IT to coordinate conversions of existing applications; maintains knowledge of vendor capabilities to work with HR development and procurement in identification and selection of strategic vendor partners; manages relationships with internal customers and vendors to ensure all parties are kept up-to-date; assists in managing vendor performance of services to ensure adherence to service levels, expectations, and deliverable requirements.
Assesses Business Needs: Demonstrates a general understanding of ways to identify and measure the current needs of the customer or business; uses the business need to help define the project’s requirements
Project Management: Demonstrates understanding of implementation objectives, project plan, and one's role within a project; participates in the implementation of a project; provides timely, thorough, and concise updates for area of responsibility; identifies areas of risk and properly communicates them to the project manager
Strong communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Experience in any of the following process areas: recruiting/onboarding, employee services, reporting, compensation administration, absence/LOA, shared services or payroll - Preferred
Experience developing and managing project plans of short duration - Preferred
