A Marketing Automation Specialist to join our Retail Marketing team.
WHO WE ARE:
The Hallmark Retail Marketing team is a high-performance, fast paced, results-oriented, team-centric group, and this position will be a critical contributor within that environment. The Marketing Automation Specialist will work across many cross-functional teams. Collaboration and working effectively with others are critical.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS ALL ABOUT:
The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for executing marketing automation and targeted content through email and SMS in support of Hallmark Retail and the larger Hallmark brand. This hands-on role will use their expertise in Salesforce and marketing automation to drive loyalty program member engagement, personalized experiences and conversion campaigns. They are a critical part of the Retail Marketing team supporting loyalty program marketing efforts including email, SMS, direct mail and marketing operations.
This position works closely with the Loyalty Marketing team, Hallmark IT, external agency contacts and other integrated Hallmark teams as appropriate to translate the business needs into digital solutions that complement existing and new communications strategies and tactics.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to execute consumer lifecycle email strategies that support the consumer experience, consumer lifecycle, and loyalty program conversions.
Become the ‘go to’ expert for our Salesforce Marketing Cloud marketing technology platform supporting email, SMS, and Einstein capabilities.
Understand member engagement and loyalty program business requirements, build and manage ongoing campaigns and initiatives in Marketing Cloud to support member and subscriber conversion and email experience.
Monitor and support the technical buildout of automated/triggered journeys for email and SMS using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including development of custom filters, complex AmpScript and SQL queries, data extensions, automations, and journey builder.
Support execution of day-to-day email and SMS marketing activities including set up, audience targeting, tagging, testing and deployment of promotional, transactional, and push campaigns.
Drive enhanced personalization in email and SMS as a power user of the SFMC and Moveable Ink platforms.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to email rendering, HTML, AmpScript, SQL, list segmentation, data personalization and other aspects of execution for owned campaigns and team members campaigns, as required.
Analyze and report on marketing performance and KPIs, deriving insights and learnings to inform campaign optimizations and share out results with internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with assigned internal campaign owners, campaign specialists, and IT on marketing automation best practices, project scoping, technical requirements and quality assurance.
Advise and execute ongoing email testing optimization including A/B and multivariate testing.
Monitor, report, and optimize Einstein Predictive Intelligence logic strategy and execution.
Lead evaluation of SFMC new release capabilities and formulate strategic recommendations and training for implementation of new capabilities and functionality to cross functional team of partners.
Keep abreast of email and SMS marketing industry benchmarks, best practices and emerging trends, deliverability and compliance requirements, and bring new ideas to the table.
Output retention marketing (email, SMS, & direct mail) database file segmentations and lists, write promotion and data file set-up and output instructions for vendors, and manage respective projects with vendor and agency partners.
Develop and documents efficiencies in current and future processes.

The following is required to be considered for this role:
1+ years of digital marketing or marketing operations experience in Email Service Providers
1+ years as a power user of Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform
Your resume and application will stand out if you have:
College degree in Marketing, Advertising or other applicable experience
2+ years as a power user of Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform
3-5 years of digital agency experience
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud data structure and functionality
Solid understanding of basic data principles, how data is structured and organized, how it flows between systems, etc.
Experience with analytics tools and reporting (i.e. Adobe Omniture, Salesforce)
Experience with CRM tools (i.e. Teradata CIM)
Ability to juggle multiple customers and a high volume of tasks at one time. Proactively prioritize the work and manage expectations
Strong attention to detail
Curious and self-starter
