We’re seeking an energetic, results-oriented Electronic Assembler with a passion for and experience with working in a distribution center located in Grayslake, IL as an Electronic Assembler, you’ll be responsible for these essential functions:




Profile



  • Assembly of switches and wire harnesses to support the production of higher-level assemblies of Joysticks and Control Boxes 

  • Performs work assignments efficiently and as directed with accuracy, neatness, and in conformance to policies and procedures

  • Per printed work order pull from stock the required Bill of Material to build assemblies that consist of cutting wire to length, strip the wire ends, crimp terminals, solder wires to potentiometers and or circuit boards

  • Operate equipment that cuts the wire, another machine that strips the wire and another machine that crimps the terminal to the end of the wire

  • Operation of a soldering iron on a regular basis to attach wires to a switch or circuit board

  • Maintain a copy of drawings and sample of the item for future reference

  • Update work instructions as needed

  • Accurately label product according to Work Order

  • Stock and pull parts from inventory while maintaining paperwork locations and quantities, etc., accuracy 

  • Actively participates in line meetings, providing feedback and input for continuous process improvement 

  • Supports recommendations from management and assists management as needed

  • Assist in fostering and driving a team-based environment, to include performing other duties as needed

  • Interact effectively and productively with fellow co-workers in a professional manner 

  • Follow all established company safety policies

  • Report Non-conforming product to the appropriate personnel

  • Performs tasks as needed to maintain the overall cleanliness of the warehouse and shop

  • Meet established productivity standards 

  • Be available and willing to work occasional overtime as required

Qualified candidates for this role will need the following:

 



  • A one year Certificate from college or technical school; or a minimum of six months substantially similar experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience



  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds. There are no specific vision abilities required by this job.
