Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Vibration Analyst for our facility in Monticello, MS.  Vibration Analysts contribute to the plant’s success by supporting the plant’s reliability improvement program through condition monitoring and precision maintenance to ensure optimal plant equipment operation.

 

This role will work in conjunction with our Collaboration and Support Center (CSC) to improve health of the mill’s rotating equipment through vibration analysis and continuous monitoring of asset health.  The CSC is a collaborative environment where different capabilities from across the company work together to apply analytical methods to our enterprise data to add value for our facilities.

  

 

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Collecting and analyzing vibration, information on fans, blowers, electrical motors, gearboxes, compressors, and conveyors

  • Monitor on-line vibration systems on 2 craft paper machines, critical equipment in the Utilities and Pulp Mill areas

  • Interpreting findings to ensure all plant equipment is operating at optimal levels

  • Performing precision maintenance activities to improve equipment performance

  • Implementing reliability best practices for plant equipment by identifying operating conditions such as load, speed, and environment

  • Assisting with the development of new predictive techniques and programs for plant equipment

  • Contributing to Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) cases, Failure Mode, and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs

  • Completing projects and tasks with minimal guidance

  • Collaborating with CSC to execute equipment health monitoring (vibration analysis, etc)

  

What You Will Need:

 


Basic Qualifications:


  • Certified in Vibration Analysis Level I

  • 2 or more years of experience as a Vibration Analyst in an industrial, manufacturing, or industrial military environment where daily tasks include vibration data collection, analysis, and reporting

  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Willing and able to work at heights, in confined spaces and in hot or cold weather conditions

  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis

  • Willing to think differently about executing vibration analysis at a facility with help from our Collaboration and Support Center (CSC)

 

 

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Certified in Vibration Analysis Level II or higher

  • Experience SKF Observer and Analyst Software

  • Experience with Field Balancing rotating equipment

  • Experience with Nondestructive Testing (NDT), such as Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UT), Dye Penetrant Testing, and Magnetic Particle Inspection

  • Experience in Lubrication, Equipment Strategies, Reliability Center Maintenance (RCM), and/or Precision Maintenance
