The Supply Chain Analyst is accountable for using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes for the AMG global business, representing approximately $200-$300 million in revenues. The incumbent has responsibility for master data management, assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support the AMG global Supply Chain organization (Logistics, Planning, Scheduling, Procurement, and Sales and Operations Planning). Three key areas of expertise include master data management, ERP system functionality, and forecasting.


  • Proactively work with the Regional Sales Managers, Marketing Managers, Customer Service, and Production Planning team members to effectively understand and communicate marketplace demand and resolve issues relating to this demand. Develop projections and make recommendations based on financial and operational analyses.
  • Organize monthly demand forecasts for all product families. Monitor, measure, and report on supply chain's performance to plan. Prepare summaries and suggest alternative strategies for various stakeholder groups, including detailed input to Sales and Marketing management for use at the S&OP meetings.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities for logistics optimization (Reduced air freight, increased consolidation, leveraging corporate contracts) across all AMG sites.
  • Manage the integrity of SAP Master Data; specifically, the material master and all supporting peripheral data related to Material Master Data management. Manage existing reporting and analysis tools according to business need.
  • Function as Project Manager for the deployment of AMG's first Sales and Operations Planning process. Assure business requirements are defined and translate into optimal system configuration to support business processes.
  • As an SAP and data subject matter expert, drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities and completing system enhancement requests, to enhance existing reporting or analysis tools and utilize continuous improvement methods to increase value across business operations.


  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or supply chain operations discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing supply chain organization, with a focus on production planning, materials management and inventory management.
  • Expert-level working knowledge of SAP and Excel.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience gathering, analyzing and evaluating information, using best practice reporting and analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficiency across a broad array of quantitative analytical methods (e.g., statistics, probability, quantitative business analysis).
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts as they relate to materials management.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Advanced critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across a matrixed, cross-functional organization.
