The Storeroom Team Leader supervises a group of employees responsible for custody of equipment, materials, parts, accessories, and the maintenance of accurate records.

What You Will Do:

Supervision


  • Supervises activities such as receiving, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping and maintaining equipment, materials, stock, parts, accessories, etc.

  • Develops, coaches and mentors peers, indirect and subordinate staff.

  • Recommends and establishes training resources and career development for those managed.

Inventory Control


  • Runs and analyzes inventory and transaction reports.

  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial action to resolve discrepancies.

  • Ensures budgetary compliance.

Continuous Improvement


  • Monitors effectiveness of systems, policies and procedures and makes appropriate recommendations to ensure daily operations are efficient; implements approved changes.

What You Need:


  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years experience leading an inventory team or department reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 6 years of inventory experience to include 2 years experience leading an inventory team or department reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Available to remedy employee scheduling issues as they occur during swing and graveyard shifts.

  • Required to lift and move up to 100 pounds.

What Will Set You Apart:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting plus 5 years of inventory experience to include 2 years experience leading an inventory team or department reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Experience effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.

  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing solid conclusions.
