Job Summary:

Supermicro is currently seeking a Product Manager/Sr. Buyer with technical background and procurement/operations experience. The position serves as a technical team member in purchasing team. The primary responsibilities will be to support new product releases, drive CPU adoptions, and execute procurement. The other will include support of marketing procurement. A successful candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful individual with great interpersonal and communicational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

  • Interact with System PM and Sales departments to drive revenue goals.

  • Conduct product training and promote sells of turn-key platforms.

  • Prepare and manage new product releases, such as receiving samples and P/N setup.

  • Manage inventory and product life cycle for assigned inventory items.

  • Be part of the team to negotiate contracts and pricing for marketing promotions and events related purchase

  • Issue POs and track deliveries.


  • BS in Engineering or Business preferred.

  • 2 years of working experience in product management or product marketing

  • Some exposure in supply chain is a plus.

  • Working knowledge and experience with MRP/SAP systems a plus

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Skilled in coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Good communication, writing skills and detail-oriented.

  • Able to function in a very fast paced environment and can adapt to changes.

• Able to sit for long periods of time.

• Able to input data into a computer and work with a computer screen for long periods of time.

• Occasional bending and standing.

• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 15 pounds.
