JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Health Services Leader will report to the Corporate Medical Director that is based in Elmore and will manage OSHA mandated medical surveillance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the delivery of health care services to employees that is directed toward the promotion, protection and restoration of worker health within the context of a safe and healthy work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • First aid for occupational injuries
  • First aid for non-occupational (only emergent or urgent) illnesses
  • Medical surveillance testing: BLPT blood draws, spirometry, audiograms, vision, ECGs.
  • Respirator fit testing
  • Urine/hair drug screens
  • Facilitating the medical director physician clinic: scheduling, rooming patients, disposition, referrals for outside tests and specialist appointments
  • Vaccinations (influenza, Tdap)
  • Maintain medical surveillance equipment: calibration, cleaning
  • HIPPA compliance


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Strong clinical skills, RN required
  • Minimum of 1 year occupational health experience required.
  • Advanced credential of COHN, or willingness to begin the credentialing process
  • Knowledge of Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation processes
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • HIPPA proficiency
