CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant VP, Integrative Health Services & Community Partnerships developments and implements integrative health services (i.e. yoga, pet therapy, reiki therapy, massage therapy, meditation, acupuncture etc.), the UHealth Patient Advisor Programs and the community of Miami partnerships for the UHealth System that are patient-centered and focus on overall healing (i.e. mind, body and spirit). In collaboration with the senior leadership nursing team, the AVP develops the vision and scope of programs to ensure that they meet the needs of patients and their loved ones, employees, and other stakeholders while meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) as UHealth aspires to Magnet distinction. The AVP will lead and inspire integrative practitioners, staff and the community in developing, executing, measuring and codifying best practices in the performance of all responsibilities.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Develops the strategic plan and continuously evolve a unique, high-functioning, and service-centric integrative services operation that delights customers. Participates in the ongoing strategic planning process and incorporates resultant strategic initiatives in the evolving operational design and development process UHealth Integrative Services, the Patient Advisory Programs and the Community-facing programs. Designs integrative service models and Patient Advisory and Community-facing models. Ensures operationalization of models in a cost-effective manner that yields high satisfaction and measurable results. Develops the scope, vision, human resource requirements, technology requirements, other supporting infrastructure, licensure or certification and regulatory requirements, quality assurance protocols, operational mechanisms, and use cases to support evaluation of alternative models. Designs and ensures adherence of quantitative and qualitative performance metrics including those related to patient-empowered connections (successful service matches); telephone service (call answer rate, abandonment rate, time on hold); exceptional service experience; staffing utilization; and financial performance. Conducts and leads participatory action research with various stakeholders and end-users (including nursing, physicians, administrators, patients, caretakers, and patient advisors) regarding integrative health service and community needs, desires and outcomes. Conduct periodic assessments of utilization and various constituent satisfaction; use results to adjust service offerings as needed. Establish KPIs, create systems to measure them, and set goals to improve them. Maintain a working knowledge of integrative health services, protocols, products, standards, and any other pertinent information used in the healthcare sector. Manage budget development. Oversight of all human resources functions, including workforce planning (including supervisory models, scope of duties, and staffing level models), recruitment, selection, training, performance standards and monitoring, coaching, recognition, and evaluation of integrative service staff. Understands, designs, implements and manages college student healthcare immersion programs creating a partnership among students eager to explore healthcare careers as an ambassador for UHealth in voluntary functions. Ensures internal control oversight and compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding of assets, compliance with University policies and procedures, reliability of internal and external reporting, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Creates an effective control environment, conducts risk assessment, implements and monitors controls.

Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
