The Reporting and Analytics Specialistis responsible forthe creation and production of project deliverables for internal and client use. Deliverables will include reports, charts, table, presentations and ad hoc requests. In this role, the Specialist will work with internal operations, business and implementation teams in the development and specifications required for each deliverable and request.
Develop SQL queries against multiple data sources, including transactional and analytical databases.
Develop, publish and maintain documentation, including a report catalog, of all reports, queries and other key deliverables produced.
Support the data reporting and analytics needs of the Medicare operations, account management, sales, and client implementation teams.
Coordinate and collaborate with technical and business resources to develop automated report generation and distribution processes.
Analyzes trends to recommend process and/or operational improvements.
Support and participate in system testing and requirements gathering related to operational readiness updates based on system enhancements, CMS software releases and as needed.
Assist in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures and workflows.
Analyze performance of reports and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of manager.
Performs review analyses, including accumulation of data, financial & forecast modeling, reporting and monitoring of responses.
Support all CMS and internal audit activities as needed.
Foster positive working relationships with internal and external partners with open and constructive communication.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline. Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.
With the proper education credentials a minimum of three years' experience in a reporting environment, preferably in a managed care or healthcare environment, or equivalent experience which provides the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities is required. Experience reporting and analyzing data from one or more of the following domains; Enrollment and Benefits, Claims, Customer Service, Compliance, Billing and Finance.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:
Knowledge of Medicare Advantage processes and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines highly preferred.
Intermediate to Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Access
Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures, including proficiency developing, testing and executing SQL queries
Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Ability to be flexible in a fast pace environment and adaptable to change.
Ability to work independently as well as with all levels of staff, leadership and external partners and vendors.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple demands.
Familiarity using Oracle tools and databases; extracting data from large data repositories such as data warehouse and ODS preferred.
Familiarity with advanced data analytics and visualization tools such as Crystal Reports, PowerBI, Jaspersoft and Tableau preferred.
Familiarity using ETL and scheduling tools, including automated report delivery preferred.
Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards or remotely. 20% travel may be required as needed.
