The Job at a Glance
As a DevOps Engineer, you will build and fine-tune the development, and deployment processes for the eCommerce team. You will supercharge the powerhouse eCommerce team by following these 3 simple steps: Step 1 – Design, implement, and continuously improve a deployment process that lets us move faster and deliver more. Step 2 – Write and maintain platform code. Step 3 - Make sure you enjoy the ride!
A Typical Day
● You own the AWS environment using modern configuration-based tools such as Terraform and Ansible
● You will build and maintain Unix and Windows based server solutions for IT department needs in AWS and ESXi
● You will lead automated patch management and updates
To Land This Opportunity
⚫ You have worked in a cloud/DevOps environment with a minimum of 3 years’ of experience – Along with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, your experience has come through a job, your education, and some serious side projects
⚫ You’ve supported the deployment of high-volume complex applications (hundreds of thousands or millions of users, 1M+ products, global solutions, etc.) – You appreciate the challenge of innovating at scale
⚫ You have proficiency in using non-bash scripting languages like Python or Ruby – You have the attitude to drive the team towards advancement.
⚫ You have worked installing/deploying applications to Linux/Unix systems. Worked on Jenkins or similar integration tools.
⚫ You and your team become the champions of continuous integration - You appreciate how getting lots of small details right leads to a great user experience
⚫ You ask A LOT of questions – And you rarely get discouraged
