Buyer – Savanna, IL

Wolseley Industrial Group – MRO Products and Services has a position open for a Buyer located in Savanna, IL

This position will support procurement of MRO materials at our customer location. The Buyer at this location will have responsibility for vendor relationships along with daily customer and supplier contacts.  In addition, the Buyer will have material handling and distribution responsibilities within the customer’s stockroom.

This position will:

  • Obtain Price and Availability

  • Place Purchase orders

  • Review and Manage inventory levels

  • Manage vendor relationships

  • Build customer and supplier contacts

  • Locate items into correct bins

  • Pulling material from locations for customer orders

  • Label bins

  • Warehouse shelving

  • Performing cycle counts

  • Receiving

The requirements for the Buyer role are:

  • 1 or more years of purchasing

  • Strong Excel and Word Knowledge

  • Proven Organization Skills

  • Strong Customer Service Skills

  • A Positive Attitude

  • A Great Work Ethic

  • A willingness to learn how to manage a business

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
